Will the nippler leak?
No. The pet pushes the ball to release water and it closes the moment they stop; the dual-ball core seals even tighter. After shipping, fill it and invert for about 10 seconds to confirm.
Is the glass fragile?
The body is borosilicate glass, rated from -20°C to 150°C and resistant to thermal shock. It is not tempered glass though, so please avoid hard impacts and drops.
Which pets can use it?
Hamsters, Syrian hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, parrots and many other small pets and birds. Choose 150ml or 280ml for small pets, 420ml or 500ml for rabbits and chinchillas.
Which capacity should I choose?
Match it to your pet and your refill routine: 150ml suits hamsters; 280ml is the versatile default; 420ml suits rabbits and chinchillas that drink more; 500ml suits large parrots, shared cages or a few days away. There is a size comparison chart on our homepage.
How do I clean it?
Rinse with warm water and a little mild detergent, or soak in diluted white vinegar. Avoid steel wool so the glass stays scratch-free; use a small brush for the nozzle.
How often should I change the water?
Replace with fresh water every 2-3 days and clean the bottle and nozzle every 1-2 weeks. Change more often in hot weather — the 150ml size naturally calls for more frequent refills.
My pet will not use the nippler. What can I do?
Most pets need a little encouragement. Smear a tiny amount of their favourite liquid treat on the ball so they taste it, or gently press the pin once to show the water. They usually learn within 1-3 days. Keep the old water bowl available during training.
The flow has slowed or stopped. Why?
Three common causes: a vacuum inside the bottle (loosen the cap briefly to let air in), debris in the nozzle (remove it and clean with a small brush), or an excessive tilt. Checking these in order usually solves it.
Can I use warm water or other drinks?
The borosilicate body handles -20°C to 150°C, so warm water is fine. Please use only clean drinking or boiled-cooled water — milk, juice and sugary drinks leave residue in the valve and breed bacteria.
It arrived damaged. What now?
Take photos first, then contact us through your Taobao order and we will arrange a replacement. Glass can occasionally be damaged in transit, so please open the parcel and check before signing.
